My name is Julia and I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and group class instructor. I have a great passion for empowering clients to meet their unique goals, whether it is weight loss, muscle gain or overall functionality or performance. You can expect energetic, fun and creative workouts while still striving for proper form and safety. Whatever your goal, I believe in establishing a strong foundation, which will not only help you in the gym but most importantly, facing your everyday challenges. Currently, I am working on a Corrective Exercise Specialization certification to further develop my understanding of movement and postural deficiencies.
I was born and raised in Finland where active lifestyle was part of my upbringing- it included dancing, skiing, swimming in lakes and climbing trees. My devotion to movement developed further when I started weight lifting 4 years ago. My infatuation with health and fitness actualized into a personal trainer’s career as my passion for exercise grew. Now my training is heavily focused on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and boxing, which I supplement with lifting, yoga, circuit training, and group exercise classes.
